The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. is conducting a voluntary replacement program (recall) for its tires in Australia (from February 3) and Europe (from February 4). This notice is a Japanese translation of the notice posted on the website of our European tire sales subsidiary, Yokohama Europe GmbH, and is provided for your reference. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE – YOKOHAMA BluEarth AE-01
YOKOHAMA RUBBER CO., LTD. is conducting a voluntary replacement program (recall) on its tyre model YOKOHAMA BluEarth AE-01, Sizes 185/65R14 86T/H and 185/65R15 88T/H.
The affected tyres may have been produced with irregular geometry in the lower sidewall area of the tyre, above the bead area. This may in some cases cause minor cracking in the lower sidewall area resulting in the potential loss of inflation pressure. In rare cases there may be a loss of air, potentially causing a critical driving situation. As a matter of precaution to ensure safety of consumers YOKOHAMA has decided to exchange all possibly affected tyres.
The following tyre sizes and serial numbers in production period December 2011 to December 2012 are affected.
- ♦185/65R14 86T AE01: Serial Number 4U06YYY5211 to 4512
- ♦185/65R14 86H AE01: Serial Number 4U06YYY0212 to 4612
- ♦185/65R15 88T AE01: Serial Number 4ULXYYY0112 to 5012
- ♦185/65R15 88H AE01: Serial Number 4ULXYYY0212 to 5112
Owners of affected tyres please immediately contact YOKOHAMA at Support Call Center at below numbers (available Monday to Friday between 8AM to 8PM). Any affected tyres will be replaced at no cost at your dealer.
